Her target was smart, that was for sure. Jules' tracking and detection skill were high but this one was able to elude her. The person must have known they were being followed. Dang it! Jules cursed in her head. She must have done something to tip the person off. They must have been a beater or at least someone with some sense. The person was fairly high level so she knew they had some good info. So, like any smart person Jules listened and followed them. The other day she heard about a meeting taking place in the Sunshine Forest at this time. Yet they weren't here. No tracks. No detection.
"Don't worry Patty." Jules mumbled to her large warthog beast. Patty just snorted in response. "'Ey! Don't be like that! I bet it was your smell that tipped 'em off! Besides, this wasn't the big payoff I thought it'd be but...but I still have some good info I can sell!"
The warthog gave no sign that he cared, only a small yawn. Jules sighed, adjusted her hat on her head, then hopped on Patty. Instead of leaving the field, she decided not to waste the trip and try to find some materials or monsters to kill. If anything, she wanted to at least make a little extra Col from this trip.
Jules yawned and looked up at the night sky. She liked the night. That was when she normally operated. It was easier to hide and people normally assumed that the night was the best time to talk about important things. Ha! The night only allowed for easier listening and shrouding for individuals who might listen in. Like Jules. Jules also had the advantage of blending in. In cities, people didn't pay much attention to a young girl. They thought her innocent and helpless.
Hopefully there weren't any pkers out. She knew some liked to hang out killing in lower-level areas. Although, Jules didn't have any info on any on this level. So she assumed she would be fine. Besides, she could handle herself if they weren't to high level and Patty was with her. Patty was always with her. Always with her when she couldn't rely on anyone else.
