Real Life Information:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Name: Nagamasa Akira
Age: 22
Birthday: July 22, 2000
Birthplace: Hokkido, Japan
Home Town: Sapporo
Occupation: Collage Student (Senior)
Character Description: A scowling young man seemingly lost in thought with disheveled jet black hair and eyes of onyx, tall and thin but with a evidence of a toned body hiding underneath his avatar's armor.
Back story of your character: Akira always had trouble fitting in around his peers and when you live in a very group oriented nation like Japan, it can be even harder. Growing up in cold, northern Hokkaido, one could usually see themselves finding work out of school in the service sector or perhaps one of the brewing companies but in a very sports centric city like Sapporo, Haruto's introverted nature and lack of interest with anything that involved a ball left him rather lonely growing up and without siblings he had not much to talk to. He found solace instead of video games, ones that told fantastical stories and showed beautiful vistas and charming characters to spend the time out of the white sheet of snow that seemed to cover the island for long periods of the year. Determined to get into the same field that he loved as a hobby, Akira was very naive about the nature of the gaming market as the west seemed to be cornering the market, with many of the games he enjoyed being centrally "niche" compared to the tastes of the rest of the world in the U.S., Europe and Brazil. So as he went into computer technology classes around 2018, whispers of a new kind of tech that would change the way gamers played could be felt on the web and in tech magazines that Akira only heard every once and a while between his studies in programming and computer art design. It wasn't until his senior year, when this new system, the Nerve Gear, that the young man couldn't keep his head in the ground. His own computer studies in the Tech University he was studying in never imagined that one would later on need a degree in human physiology in order to work on video games so quickly as the 10th generation of game systems was coming to an end. So as the reality that Akira was going to get a degree in a field that had just changed underneath his feet and that he'd need more collage time than he could afford, it sunk in that he just wasted 4 years of his life and that the next six months he could easily just sit in his dormroom and play on the very instrument that kept him out of the gaming industry. At this moment in his life, being in a virtual world was more preferred than the real one he was in.

Armor: A strange but pleasant combination of Asian and Western fantasy clothing consisting of a black
yukata robe and similar colored
hakama bottoms and a dark blue, long coated version of a
sodetsukibaori surcoat with silvery steel pauldrons. However, instead of a traditional
obi belt, his trousers are held up by a Chinese style waist belt and his small for it's size
hakama leg pants shoved into black knee high boots of Western design, silvery steel gauntlets with black cloth around the hands to finish the look.
Custom Skills:Iaido Strike: A surprise attack which let's Haruto attack an enemy without his sword drawn, charging his weapon for an attack before it even leaves his scabbard and striking in a flash.
Blade Storm: With a blue aura surrounding his blade, Haruto's body takes an almost ethereal form as he strikes an opponent 8 times in the span of one stroke.
Justice's Retribution: Forgoing attacking, Haruto takes on a defensive stance, blocking attacks and lessening damage for a short amount of time then putting all the damage he receives into one violent blow.
Avatar Description: Haruto at one time used to be a somewhat popular character to those who knew him, especially to younger players who saw the ponytailed youth as an heroic type, some days during the the original beta spending his entire time in lower levels of Aincrad and giving off the persona of a
tokusatsu styled, larger-than-life persona of the ultra cool
bishonen who wooed the ladies and helped out younger and/or less experience players. However, after the infamous first day that stripped everyone of the reality that this would be a game they'd like to play (as well as the persona he had built for himself with his appearance changed to his true self), the weight of imminent death around every corner and the distrust that seemed to be felt within the community over who was getting better EXP and GP, whispers of players being PKed with full knowledge that they were to die in real life and even the break in trust that he had built with friends and guild mates due to the act he had made for himself caused him to go into an existential crisis. Wandering the floors of Aincrad, fighting monsters as he went, he no longer was certain if he belonged here in this VRMMO or even in the real world. But to him, at least in this world he felt he had merit, that he could stand tall over his fellow players in some ways, that he could be someone, something he could never be in real life. And is starting to wonder if he wants to leave.
