Hello, I am Mod Hirru, and because of recent events, our site will be considered dead.
We are moving on to a new site,
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].As you can see form the look of the site, it's not done yet. Due to RL complications, both myself and Zero are busy most of the time. I have enlisted some help from friends, but without ideas, we can't do a thing.
Zero and myself are quite conflicted on one thing about the site,
"What type/style of role-playing will our new site be?"She wants it exactly how it is here. Free range on characters, role-play is pure text based with just the imagination of the player to guide them. I find this method very good, but I can easily see characters turning OP in a short time. That is, of course, my own opinion.
I want it to be slightly stats based. Characters are built from the ground up to become powerful. Also each game has it's own set of rules. I'll explain more below. A dice system would be in place to make battling a little more adventurist. This would make PvE, and PvP even more challenging, and practical. The downsides, however, are that it is quite hard to implement everything cohesively; and, it is harder to teach every new member how to use system.
Currently, I've been thinking of the following:
The site is broken up into three areas: SAO, ALO, and GGO (I'm working on Underworld's section, as well)
Sword Art Online - Each player enters the first floor at level 1. They must work their way up to the 100th floor, without dying. Of course, it would suck to kill off your character, and have to create a new one. I'll probably have a system down for that. Each floor is locked until the boss of the floor previous is cleared. The player can choose whether to level their STR or AGI, and can train in any of the sword skills known. Unique Skills will be a gift to those that can "Prove Their Worth" to Cardinal. I have the stats, HP, Exp, Skills, and Skill leveling planned out.
ALFheim Online - Think Risk, but with 9 territories, the world tree to be conquered, and plenty of dungeons to explore. Pretty much a shmorgishborg of styles all clashing into one. Stats are still in play, but levels no longer apply. Skills are the name of the game as you raise your magic, stats, and strategies to combat the ever encroaching enemy races. Of course, you can plan out alliances, and band together to climb the impossible tree. There is also the option to clear the dungeons that litter the lands. Especially Jotenheimr and New Aincrad.
Gun Gale Online - PVP at its finest. Fight against each other or farm the monsters in the ruins. Just be careful of the other players out there. The tournament, Bullet of Bullets is also held here. Get a chance to win big, and become the single most strongest player out there. (I'm still working on more ideas for this though)
Underworld - (No clue)
I want to get everyone's suggestions, ideas, opinions, etc. before I go on with this. I will listen to all of them, and decide what to do from there.
